Flowers! -- A Post Valentine Entry
"Son, no matter what a woman says, she wants roses."
Ah, I got that from one of the books entitled "Vince's Life". Actually, right now, I feel like I'm considering that fact, if it is a fact.
You see, I'm not really fond of roses, or any kind of flowers. Sure, I like Sunflowers and Callalilies but not that I'm going to demand someone to give them to me. I always believed that if someone's gonna give me something, it should be food, of any kind because I'll be happier. Not even chocolates, I'm not fond of them, though if it's Ferrero.... hehe. Anyway, I firmly believe that I like food more than flowers, cause I can't eat the latter. Can you?
Today, my belief has turned upside down (or normal?).
This morning, when I woke up, I don't feel like working today or in the past few days (I seriously feel like I'm sick though I'm not, and I'm thinking of using my "leave" --but this is another story), but well I had to, so zombie-like I went to fix my breakfast (milo and yo, bad combination, "Don't try this at home") and off to the shower. It was, again, another short but boring journey to work. Then I came to the office and went to my desk when I saw this plastic container with Sunflower-looking flowers (in a hot water. I wonder why those guys put hot water in it, and they said it's mineral). I was honestly surprised that I gasped and say "Oh, man!", I was even alone in the hallway.
Two of my guy friends told me that they were going to this haunted house with lots of those flowers and they asked me if I wanted one so I said sure, but I didn't know that they will really going to give me some. The last time they said that, they even asked me to bring a vase with water in it, but they didn't bring any. Their reason is because I didn't bring my own vase.
Talking about flowers with these 2 friends of mine, it started last Valentines Day, when I said I haven't received a dozen roses from anybody (Yes, I know, loser right? So shut up :D But I did get one or two, just not a dozen). I said, I just wanted food or Sunflowers or Callalily. They told me they can give me Sunflower... seeds. Haha, very funny.
So anyway, that's just it. I was just being appreciative today and I totally felt cheerful early this morning, after seeing those flowers. I figured it's not the flowers that makes you happy, it's the thought that somebody gave you one, especially when you're not expecting it.
Happy Post Valentines Day!
