First Cosplay Experience

Pao, Monkey and I went to The 5th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention held at Megatrade last June 17, 2006. It was a fun experience for me since it was my first time attending a cosplay contest. I wasn't a cosplayer, it was Pao. Although, 2 days before the convention he was planning to play another character, still a Ragna character I'm just not familiar with (since I don't play Ragnarok).

Morning of June 17, he said he would be playing as a Mobster. He borrowed white towels and such. He even bought goggles worth P350, just for that. He would love to back-out hours before the "show", but Monkey and I stopped him. Besides, sayang naman yun. It was his first cosplay experience. I told him, "It's not about winning, it is to experience the beauty of cosplaying." hehe.

I had fun, and I wondered if I could do that, too. The cosplaying, I mean. But I said, "Nah, I don't have the guts to be on stage...but instead...I'll make Pao and Glenn join the contest!" Hahaha! I would just help them with the costumes. *big grin*

I was overwhelmed when I was there, I asked lots of cosplayers to have a picture with me. These cosplayers were very kind to oblige. How creative these cosplayers are!

Tagaytay Lunch

We went to Tagaytay today. My cousin’s parents arrived from Davao. I don’t know but maybe they wanted to visit some of the places near my cousin’s house. Also, it's like a (mini) reunion. I haven't seen them since my visit from Surigao del Sur.

At 10:00 am, Monkey went to the room to wake me up, asking me if I wanted to go to Tagaytay…

Manx: “Ate, gusto mong pumunta ng Tagaytay?”
Faerie: *groggy* “Huh?” *eyes closed*
Manx: “Gusto mo bang pumunta ng Tagaytay?” *excited*
Faerie: “Sino kasama?” *frowning*
Manx: “Si Papa.”
Faerie: “Huh? Anong oras?”
Manx: *frantically looking for her towel and clothes* “Ngayon na.”
Faerie: “O sige, maligo ka na.” *still not getting up*
Manx: “…”

So there. While bathing, my dad shouted, “Josette, san ka na?” so I panicked because we weren’t finished yet. He went out and I hurried up, put a towel on my body and went after him (dun lang naman sa loob, sa gate), I said, “Pa, wait lang.”

Manx and I were totally rushing because my dad didn’t like waiting and well, we didn’t want to be left behind. We were like…

Faerie: “Josette, bilisan mo.”
Manx: *inside the bathroom* “Nasaan na si Papa?”
Faerie: *rush* “Nasa labas na. Bilisan mo!”
Manx: “Naligo ka na ba?” *suspicious*
Faerie: “OO NAMAN NOH!” §
Manx: “Bilis mo naman.”
Faerie: “P*ny*t*, bilisan mo.”
Manx: “Nasan na si Papa?”
Faerie: “P*ny*t*, tanong ka ng tanong. Bilisan mo nga!”
Manx: *chuckled*

He he. Yeah, I was cursing already. Hehe. Can’t help it. Sorry.

Actually, I didn't know why we're going there. Basta sumama lang ako. I asked my dad though.

Faerie: "Pa, anong gagawin natin dun?"
Papa: "Magtatanghalian."
Faerie: ^__^'

Anyway, so that’s what happened. I realized this is like a pahabol bago magpasukan. Oh, there’s another pahabol. My big sister and I agreed na maginuman muna before pasukan.

Of course, I took pictures at Tagaytay.
